Ultrasonic baths
Ultrasonic washing for maximum purity in less time than conventional washing such as hand washing, spraying or similar. Ultrasounds effectively remove impurities such as grinding pastes polishing, abrasive, shavings and chips, greases and cooling emulsions.
The Ran-Scan digital ultrasound generator measures and controls the resonance frequency of the ultrasonic transducer. The Ran-Scan accurately selects the frequency to maintain the maximum power of the generator in various operating conditions, such as changing temperature, degassing of the bath in the car wash or different mass of the charge. The Ran-Scan system automatically adjusts the generator at regular intervals and maintains a constant power range of 92-100%. With the Ran-Scan system, even after long-term use, Magneti Marelli ultrasonic washers will be as effective as at the beginning. State-of-the-art IGBT transistors, which, combined with the Ran-Scan digital control, completely eliminated service of the car wash. As the assembly standard we use a modular system “EURO 19”, easy to expand, replace and maintain.
The Sweep method, in addition to the reduction of the standing wave phenomenon, allows the device to operate at changeable load, temperature and time. In modern single-frequency car washes, sophisticated frequency tracking systems are used. The Sweep method provides good use of Ultrasonic transmitter power and more uniform distribution of vibration amplitude in the washer.
How do ultrasounds work? The high-frequency current from the power generator is supplied to the ultrasonic transmiter, whose working element is two piezero-ceramic plates. The transmitter is attached to the bottom or wall of the bath and causes vibrations that are transferred to the washing liquid. Rapid condensation and thinning of the liquid cause cavitation, which consists in the rapid formation and disappearance of vacuum-induced microbubbles of contaminants in the volume of fluid. Any cavitation caused by the ultrasound works strongly, it does not damage delicate or complicated mechanisms. Washing requires minimal supervision and can be performed by unqualified personnel. Ultrasonic washers can be easily adapted for serial production by connecting to the process line.
